Quick online catalog access increases readership
Watch Stöckli's online catalogAmid the snow capped peaks of the Swiss Alps, Stöckli finds inspiration to produce their world famous skis. While the company is situated conviniently in the mountains, a majority of their customers are not. The distribution of their catalogs becomes a priority and a challenge.
Stöckli has turned to digital media to circulate their roster of impressive sporting equipment. Prior to using Zmags, their clients would have to download their catalog in PDF form. However, according to Silvan Nideröst, Head of Communications at Stöckli this solution was inadequate:
”The PDF files on our old website took up min. 8MB. This resulted in way too long latency for our users; they simply close down if nothing happens after 10 seconds.”
Faster presentation form
Stöckli wished to overhaul their website. They were seeking new online means for presenting their products on a global scale. While the offers poured in, it was clear that Zmags stood out: quick performance and instant online catalog browsing for their clients.
The results were clear just a few months after Stöckli published their first Zmag:
“We can see that the Zmag works in two ways. First and foremost we have not received any negative response from our customers. They would for sure have contacted us, if it didn’t work. Additionally, Zmags’ statistics shows that the amount of online readers has increased. We have actually registered a rise of 80% comparing the number of readers from last year. Totally, we have more readers, in spite of the fact that we send out less printed catalogs.”
Lower your costs
Whith the use of the Zmag, catalog distribution and readership have grown to global levels at minimal cost to the company. But to Silvan Nideröst, expenses saved are only one of the benefits of using a Zmag:
“We were looking for a fast solution for our online catalogs. Zmag’s solution has got a minimal latency, and the readers can have a look at the content of the catalog right away. However, it surely is positive that we on top of all reduce our expenses on printing catalogs.”
Stöckli is gradually getting more experienced with Zmags and so do their readers. Over time the overall readership has increased and they get fewer requests for hard-copy catalogues. The usage gives Stöckli in-depth data in the analytics tool, which they proactively use for planning next season’s marketing collateral.
